My Father , Dennis Arthurs , played Roller Hockey at Alexandra Palace in the 1950s and was involved in the setting up of The Eastern Counties Roller Hockey Association in the 1980s.

My Father died in 1988 and was extremely passionate about Roller Hockey. In the Eastern Counties they still play for "The Dennis Arthurs Memorial Cup"

About Me

I am a bog standard, Mr Average, which included my speed skating with Southsea Roller Speed Club from 1960 to about 1978! I have kept up my skating to a degree and can still whizz round a track, although my legs are a bit shaky!!! I still have the same skates that I had then (Italian Star skates, given to me by John Toy, and a pair of Jimmy Greaves football boots made especially without the studs! I am touring the UK now, seeing all the places that I never got to before, and searching out all the skating rinks I can. It would be marvellous to hear from any of my old friends in the skating world.
