NOTEIN 2008 FISS CONTROVERSIALLY MADE A RULING THAT SKATERS FROM LOWER AGE GROUPS COULD COMPETE IN HIGHER AGE GROUP TEAM EVENTS SO LONG AS FISS BELIEVED THEM TO BE COMPETENT ENOUGH.  THE RESULTED IN LYDIA BUNN BEING A WINNING MEMBER OF BOTH THE CADET/PUPIL GIRLS INDOOR RELAY TEAM AND A WINNING MEMBER OF THE THE SENIOR/JUNIOR LADIES INDOOR RELAY TEAM ON THE SAME DAY.  IT WAS WIDELY FELT THAT THE RULE WAS "CREATED" TO BENEFIT ONE CLUB AND NOT DONE IN THE INTERESTS OF SPORT.  AFTER MUCH DISSENT FROM THE FISS MEMBERSHIP THE RULING WAS RECINDED FOR FOLLOWING YEARS.
